Prevent Acne From Forming to Avoid Getting Acne Scars

If you have acne scars you are going to either have to wait for them to disappear on their own (most mild scars will vanish within a year) or undergo some sort of ace scar removal treatment, surgical or non surgical. You can use certain types of makeup to help hide the scars. But sometimes, this may not be that effective.  The best acne scar “treatment” is to ensure that you never get acne scars in the first place. You can do this by with a combination of preventative acne treatments, proper facial hygiene, diet, and never picking or popping your pimples. Preventative acne treatments can work to keep your acne to a minimum, but there is lots of work and self discipline involved, and sadly to say, most people lack said discipline to make the needed changes.

There are many preventative acne treatments that will prevent the occurrence of acne and acne scars. Most of these are antibiotic prescription medications which attach the P. acnes bacteria cause the acne outbreaks . Some of these (oral) antibiotics include erythromycin, doxycycline, minocycline, and tetracycline. The downside to these serious acne and acne scar medications is that there are a host of rather unpleasant side effects you have to deal with.

By far, the most effective acne medications are the topical acne medications. These work the same way that the oral antibiotics do, that is they kill the acne-causing bacteria. However, these medications do not have antibiotics in them and thus lack the serious side effects endemic to the antibiotic acne treatments. The absolute best treatment is to prevent acne scars in the first place. You should pursue different skin tips and acne medications to help prevent acne outbreaks in the first place.

As has been discussed on other posts, there are a variety of acne scar treatments available for you. But if you are in the situation where you only have mild acne scarring, your scars may disappear on their own, given enough time. You should take preventative acne medications to ensure you don’t get large acne outbreaks which could cause scarring. Prevention is the key to avoiding having to shell out lots of money to treat acne scars. As such, consider using antibiotic topical acne treatments as the first method of getting rid of those scars. If all else fails, you can go with the surgical route to eliminate the acne scars.
